The primary operation of the compressors at the South Central Region Gas Plant.

In the presence of the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Engineer Bassam Toumeh, the tests to operate primarily compressors at the south of the central region have been started. The project consists of 4 compressors driven by four gas turbines, each compressor has a capacity of 2 million cubic meters of gas per day. The operation of these compressors will contribute to returning a number of wells suspended from work and increasing the amount of gas produced about 500 thousand cubic meters per day. Compressors are expected to be actually operated in two weeks. The Minister has met the technical team of Syrian engineers who completed last week their training in Russia and returned to operate those complex compressors. The General Managers at the General petroleum Corporation and the Syrian Gas Company have accompanied The Minister on the tour.
